What skin type are you?
Dr. Hauschka recognises 6 distinctive skin types.

Normal:
This is the skin type most of us would love to have. It is problem free and needs the minimum of support.

Dry:
This skin type is prone to aging and needs a good moisturizer. It is often thirsty and feels tight. The pores are small and tight.

Oily:
This skin ages well, but comes into its own later in life. Often providing its owner with many challenges on the way. It is prone to acne and blemishes, there may be scarring and open pores on the surface of the skin.

Combination: This is the classic dry cheeks and oily T zone. Combination skin requires a balanced treatment so that the dry areas are fed while the oily areas are normalized. There may be open pores and a tendency to black heads and spots around the nose.

Sensitive: This type of skin is often associated with dry skin types, but oily skin can also be sensitive due to inflammation caused by acne type conditions. In a dry sensitive condition protection of the skin from the elements is often paramount, whereas in an oily sensitive condition the skin often requires soothing treatments to reduce redness.

Sluggish: This skin type is usually accompanied by a general oily skin condition. The skin though over producing oil is in other ways sluggish; not regenerating quickly and often has a lumpy feel or appearance. It is characterized the feeling of small lumps under the surface of the skin, as if there is a build up of sebum that the skin needs to throw out in order to cleanse itself.
You can feel for these lumps by running your hand across the surface of the cheeks, chin and forehead.
