What is different about Dr. Hauschka products?

Dr. Hauschka products were created at the WALA institute over 45 years ago in response to anecdotal evidence supplied by a Swiss nurse who was mixing their homeopathic medicines into creams in order to relieve the suffering of burns victims. She was so impressed with the results she contacted WALA with the idea of developing a range of cosmetic skin care products.

· Biodynamic and Organic
At this time WALA had already established their biodynamic and organic techniques of farming. Through their belief in the importance of nature's cycles they developed a routine of planting according to the cycles of the moon and harvesting, by hand, the produce at dawn when the therapeutic elements contained within the plant material is at its most concentrated.

· Purity of soil
As WALA established their farms before the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers had become the norm, the soil on their farms is particularly pure never having been subjected to these chemical treatments.

· Harvested and prepared by hand
Not only are the plants harvested by hand, but the products are themselves made by hand using a rhythmical processing method that WALA believes can not be duplicated by machine

· Pharmaceutical quality ingredients
WALA still produces homeopathic, anthroposophical medicines and essential oils for the alternative healthcare industry, so the homeopathic and essential oils used in their Holistic Skin Care Range are of the same high quality as their "pharmaceuticals".
