Hollywood society tip Julia Roberts is the person to thank for the fact that a small natural cosmetics producer, Wala from Bad Boll at the foot of the Swabian Alb, has become a Hollywood society tip. The actress, plagued like many of her colleagues by stressed skin due to having to constantly apply and remove make-up, discovered Dr. Hauschkas Rose Cream in her make-up artist’s cosmetics case. He swears by the cream because it stimulates the skin’s own resources and does not cause allergies. The special thing: Most of the medicinal plants used are not only grown under strict organic conditions in the company’s own garden, they are also processed according to an 80-year-old recipe which respects nature’s rhythm: light and dark, movement and rest, heat and cold. • I received a sample of this toner and it comes quite generously in a glass screw-top vial that can last a week. I've been using it twice daily for the past week and I like it. You can definitely tell there's some kind of astringent (it *is* a toner, not a freshener) in this pleasant smelling potion, but it's not so potent as to make you uncomfortable or feel 'tight'. I've been advised by the SA to pat it on when the face is semi-wet, and it seems to weaken the astringing effect yet retaining the soothing and refreshing quality of the toner. One thing I noticed is the colour of the toner changed to a darker hue as I was using the last application. I also saw some 'debris' that looks like fine tea leaves at the bottom of the bottle. I wonder what that is? In anycase, this is a gentle toner, my sensitive combo skin's not irritated at all and I think it helps my moisturiser (not from DH) to work afterwards. I also like the idea of a spray bottle, less mess for sure.
  
• Bought both the facial toner together with the clarifying toner for my dry/combination skin. Works great for the dry cheeks! Wonders... and the best thing of all... you know it's all good stuff inside the bottle. After all, it IS organic.
  
• Absolutely adore this toner! After cleansing I'll juz spray it on and press it onto my face w/ my hands. Though it contains alcohol it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all, and in fact soothes it! Refreshing, with lovely scent. On those really humid days I'll go w/o moisturizer. Anyway, this is a tad expensive, but kinda worth it! A definite HG =p
  
• I have always skipped the toner in my daily routine b/c I found I didnt really need any. Well, this toner changed my mind, wonderful product. It makes pores diminish and face feels fresh and clean without drying it out. Definite staple! UPDATE: Im not so sure that my sensitive skin likes the witch hazel in this...will stop using it for a while and then update. 2:ND UPDATE: I have started using this again - its wonderful and I dont think the witch hazel is any problem - my face is now soft and calm.
  
• I love this toner! I use it after the cleansing milk or cream. Makes my skin VERY soft and supple and actualy feels hydrating and I wake up with perfectly eventoned skin, smoothe skin. I have normal-dry sensitive skin. I must say I have never gotten such reslts before! Definite staple! Also as is recommended I do NOT use a night moisturiser, but let my skin breathe and 'let it perform its natural metabolic functions'. Personally I find this has done a great deal for my skin and it just looks sooo amazing and eventoned and smooth in the morning! BTW: some people mentioned how this has alcohol in it so they can apparently feel it- well I m not going to go into details, because u can get those from www.drhauschka.com but the alcohol they use here is derived from plants as a NATURAL preservative otherwise the products would never last! It is not a bad or drying alcohol, but it s better if u read about the process yourself on their webpage.
  
• This has changed my mind about toners. Granted I use the Cleansing creme and it leaves a bit of a filmy feel and this toner just makes my skin feel cleansed, clean, firm and refreshed. I also have acne prone/clogged pore skin. I went from a pretty medicinal skin care regime-including Retin-A to the Dr H. line and my skin looks and feels wonderful. This toner really is a integral part of the skincare regimine in Dr. H's and it also is a really nice little luxury as well that takes a few seconds and feels great. I love the spray bottle too!
  
• My skin fells so nice,clear and soft now. I use it in conjuction with the Cleansing Milk.This is the best brand you can use for sensitive skin.
• I have dehydrated combo skin and this toner does shrink your pores. It leaves my skin quite taut and I have to use quite a reasonable amount of Quinze Day Cream to relieve the discomfort. Drier skin might take a while to get used to the feeling. My makeup goes on beautifully and stays put through out the day. My skin has a lovely soft glow and my oily t-zone is behaving normal. I'm not sure if it's the Quinze Day cream or the their night conditioner or this toner that is working the wonder. The smell is a bit funny but as long as it works, I can put up with it.
  
• This is the best toner I've ever tried. I would never be without it. I have dry skin and it's not at all over-drying; just refreshing and leaves a very clean feel.
  
• This is a wonderful toner. At first, I was confused by the instructions to "press" this into your skin, rather than to use a cotton ball to swipe. But this product, in combination with the other Dr. Hauschka products, has actually changed the condition of my skin, from oily to even. This toner is natural, non-drying (hydrating, even), and smells divine. And it's completely non-irritating!
  
• I believe I'm addicted to this product! I heard about it in a magazine and agree it's wonderful. I can't believe how comforting the smell is, as with most of the line! It's hydrating, skin-improving, and packaged attractively. I can't say how many bottles I've used. A definite A++ item.
