Liz Jones, client
“In my former life I was a teacher, but
I became very ill and Homeopathy came to my rescue. Since
then I have been a passionate advocate of Homeopathy as a
powerful means to end unnecessary suffering. As soon as I
was able to I trained as a homeopath.
I owe a huge debt to my main teacher, Jeremy Sherr. Studying
with him, from the very first day, was like coming home. Suddenly
so many things started making sense to me and I started to
look at the world with fresh eyes, suddenly seeing the interconnectedness
of everything.
In some ways, I feel I have the best job in the world. First,
I have the privilege of listening to another person’s
story, something I find very moving and often humbling. Next,
I have the challenge of piecing together the puzzle to find
the most perfect medicine I can. Finally I have the satisfaction
of seeing that person return to a state of health and well
being. What’s not to like?”

“As a medical doctor, I was always
taught (and believed) that homoeopathy was ineffective and
unscientific. However, personal experience changes all. Some
years ago I developed abdominal pain which was severe and
debilitating. I knew that this was likely to be due to gall
stones but I did not want to have surgery or other invasive
treatments. I went to see Mary in some pain after a week of
little sleep. She asked me lots of questions which had little
to do, I thought, with my presenting symptoms and gave me
the little white homoeopathic pills at the end of the consultation.
I went home more in hope than expectation yet within half
an hour the pain was easing and after an hour it had gone,
never to return. In addition, my general health improved with
more energy and a more relaxed state of mind. Do I have gall
stones? Probably, do I need to have surgery? Definitely not,
as I am well, with no symptoms and an improved level of health.
Thank you to Mary and homoeopathy! ”

About Mary Aspinwall, Registered
Homeopath
Mary has been working as a classical homeopath since 1995
and during that time has helped thousands of people to return
to health rapidly, gently and permanently. She trained at
the College of Homeopathy in London, completed a one year
apprenticeship with a highly experienced homeopath and later
graduated from Jeremy Sherr's Dynamis School for Advanced
Homeopathic Studies.
She lectures in homeopathic colleges and is a frequent contributor
to homeopathic journals (Homeopathy Today (USA), Homeopathic
Links (Netherlands), The Journal of the Society of Homeopaths
(Britain), The Homeopathic Times (Ireland).
In 1993, whilst still a student homeopath, Mary designed a
series of homeopathic medicine kits that went on to become
the best-selling range in the world. The kits are manufactured
by the world-famous Helios Homeopathic Pharmacy in England.
From the very beginning a percentage of profits from the kits
was donated to support homoeopathic charities and this is
still true today.
Mary feels passionately about educating the public to prescribe
successfully for first aid emergencies and acute illnesses
and has taught many thousands how to do so, through classes
and her free on-line course . She also actively encourages
those with more chronic, on-going conditions to seek out the
benefit of professional homeopathic help.

What happens during the on-line/phone
consultation process?
There are two different treatment options.
Either:
1.Complete the detailed questionnaire, send
it to me and we will have a 30 minute phone appointment. As
far as possible try to answer the questions naturally in your
own voice as if you were talking to me directly.
or
2. Send only your name, address, e-mail,
telephone number (landline please) and times when you are
available and we will have a one hour phone appointment.
If possible, whichever option your choose, include a recent
photo of yourself.
3. I will contact you via e-mail with a phone
appointment time. Please confirm the time is convenient and
give your number including international dial codes.
4. I will call you at the agreed time to
chat with you and clarify any issues I need to.
5. I will take up to one week to research
and select the most suitable homeopathic medicine for you.
6. The medicine will be sent out from my
clinic in Europe. You will be provided with a free phone assistance
number for the clinic, in case you need to track your medicine.
7. You take the medicine on the evening of
the day it arrives and carefully note any changes that occur
over the next three to four weeks. After this period has passed
please send a follow-up e-mail using the template provided.
8. I will reply to your e-mail and arrange
another phone consultation. At this stage we will decide if
any further consultations are needed.
9. If there has been no benefit at all from
the first prescription, a second prescription will be sent
out to you free of charge.
What happens during a homeopathic consultation?
You begin by telling the homoeopath what is troubling you.
Anything you say is treated in the strictest confidence.Give
as much detail as possible about your symptoms, including
anything that makes them better or worse. Tell the homeopath
if you have noticed any other changes in yourself (mood, anxieties,
sleep, dreams, appetite, thirst, temperature) since the symptoms
started; these can also be very useful.
The homoeopath will normally take a full medical case history
from you and record details of any previous health problems
in your family, going back to your grandparents. Information
about your general energy level and your lifestyle is also
important. The aim of the consultation is to get an overview,
not only of your complaint, but also of you as a person.
You will normally be asked to return for a follow-up appointment,
approximately 4 weeks later.These follow-up appointments help
you and your homoeopath to assess your reaction to the previous
medicine and to decide how your treatment can best be continued.
What is Homeopathy?
Homoeopathy as it is practised today evolved 200 years ago,
when a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, developed a different
approach to medicine. He called this approach Homeopathy. The
word comes from Greek and means ‘similar suffering’.
This refers to the central philosophy that a substance that
can produce symptoms in a healthy person, can cure those symptoms
in a sick person.
How does homoeopathy differ from conventional medicine?
Homoeopathy is holistic. This means that it focuses on the
whole person and believes that spiritual, mental, emotional
and physical factors are all completely inter-connected and
should not be regarded in isolation. To a homeopath, symptoms
are the body’s way of warning us that all is not well
and attempting to restore balance.Homoeopathy uses symptoms
as helpful indicators that can be used as guides to treating
the individual and removing their "dis-ease".
Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s own healing
power. Instead of merely removing the symptoms, homeopathy
removes the central disturbance in the individual's energetic
balance. A simple analogy is to imagine that you are driving
your car and the red oil warning-light comes on. You know
nothing about cars so you decide to take it to the garage.
When you come to pick up the car, the light is no longer on,
so, having paid the bill, you drive off quite happily. You
naturally assume the problem is fixed, but would you feel
so satisfied if you later discovered that the garage had merely
unscrewed the warning-light bulb?
Let's look at a few cases to see how this works
in practice
Constitutional
homeopathic treatment: Everyone's stress is different!
Three Constitutional
Cases: Migraine, Ovarian cysts, Asthma
Is Homeopathy safe?
Yes. Homeopathy is gentle and subtle. Since the substances
are given in minute doses unwanted side-effects are avoided.
Homeopathic medicines are safe to use even in situations where
conventional drugs would be dangerous or inadvisable, for
example during pregnancy or when treating infants.
Can I take homoeopathic medicine if I'm already taking other
medication?
Please tell your homeopath about any medicine or supplement
that has been either prescribed by your doctor or that you
take regularly. You should not attempt to reduce your other
medication without supervision from your doctor.
When should I consult a qualified homoeopath?
If you have a serious or recurring condition
or you have had a number of acute illnesses recently, it is
always best to see a qualified homoeopath.Remember, Homoeopathy
treats the individual rather than the disease and so is able
to treat conditions even where there has been no diagnosis.
